#44 proved to be a charm for the Minot Boys High School Curling Team.  Under the coaching prowess of veteran curler Bob Walstad and the superb shot making of Team Nathan, Minot captured it's first ever boys high school championship.  The title was won by defeating the defending champion Jarred Roland rink of Grafton 7-4.  In semifinal action, the Nathan rink downed the Jared Daul team from Fargo by the score of 6-5. This years competitive field was comprised of 12 boys teams and 4 girls teams.  The girls crown was claimed by the Amanda Tucker rink of Grafton, coached by Mary Jaster. The win by Team Nathan marks a milestone in the high school curling division as this is the first Minot rink to ever win the state championship since the tournaments inception back in 1963. What a great year to win at home---Minot Curling Club's 100th Anniversary.
